So we officially don't like hurricanes. We've been in the apartment for about 4 days in a row and very happy 2 be out finally. Sunday Bev, Alyssa, and Marchet had to interpret at the meeting which was very nerve wracking! On Monday Jemimah, a sister from the congregation took us in service in Grand Bay. Jemimah is one of the sisters in the hall who is involved in sign language so she introduced us to several deaf in the town. We also worked with Vanessa and Lizzy, a mom and really cute daughter who we had a lot of fun with. Sitting outside the Kingdom Hall, the weather is very nice. We were without electric and running water for a little while which can be difficult with 4 girls in a confined space with mainly cookies starburst as are staple foods. But regardless we made the best of it. We serinaded the neighbors no doubt with Kingdom Melodies & Bev & i hand crafted a parchisi board out of paper doctored with medical tape & dry erase markers. As players we used earrings, peanuts, batteries & gum wrappers. (we were desperate) I will blog more later. We hafta go in for meeting now!

ReplyDeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you guys are having an awesome time. Those pictures are amazing! Especially Emerald Pool. It looks awesome in the picture but I'm sure that its one of those things that you have to see in person to truly appreciate. I cant believe you rescued a dog too! That thing is homely! jk. And you named it River? Do you want it to grow up and be a hippie? Next thing you know you come home from service and Rivers' wearing a hemp necklace, sitting in a drum circle and down talking 'corporate america'. No way is he getting into a good college w/ a name like River. Also, jk...dogs cant go to college! Anyway, keep us posted on everything and we'll talk to you soon.
